Creativity for awareness

It’s hard to find anyone who has never been annoyed by the delay of delivery services. Taking advantage of the impatience of hungry people, the Food Bank Foundation, from Paraguay, decided to do a campaign about the real problem of world hunger.

The action was called “Hunger Delivery” and had the help of two pizzerias of Asuncion, the country’s capital.

The restaurants promised to deliver the pizzas in 45 minutes. However, the delivery was made much latter just to starve the costumers and have them to complain about it. The answer for the complaints was a flyer that said “When you’re hungry, you understand hunger. Your food was late, for many it never arrives. “

The idea was to encourage customers – who won a free pizza – to make donations to the Food Bank Foundation. And it worked. with the money raised, the organization gathered more than 50 tons of food, which were delivered to 13,000 needy children and elderly living in shelters in the country.

Creative ideas like that cause a positive effect. This is the kind of initiative that we need to make people aware of the major global problems, such as hunger.
