It’s Time to take action for the Earth
On April 22nd, we celebrate the Earth Day. On this day, more than one million people around the world join forces to draw attention to what’s been happening to the planet. Not only climate changes but also the quality of life of human beings has been an issue.
The date, considered as the birth of the environment movement, is celebrated since 1970 as an initiative by the Earth Day Network. The institution has endeavored to encourage environmental awareness through activities that people could reflect and recognize the importance of the relationship between people and the Earth.
Over 40 years later, we experience one of the most critical moments due to climate change and the neglect with which we treat our home. We have witnessed floods destroying cities, tornadoes devastating communities, earthquakes ruining populations, landslides displacing families, excessive heat melting glaciers and causing a great imbalance in the ecosystem, outsized drought and rain in unimaginable places. Well, the Earth is crying for help and the time to act is now.
So, join the thousands of activities happening around the world. Also, visit the website of the Earth Day 2012 and learn all about it. If each one of us takes action, together we can make a difference. We are all responsible for the Earth and we should start taking care of its health.

Mas que dia mais interessante eu escolhi para nascer! O dia 22 de abril, além de ser o meu aniversário, é também o dia do descobrimento do Brasil, e do Planeta Terra, que honra!
Mas deixando de lado a vaidade, e o aspecto pessoal da data para mim, é importante que exista um dia para as pessoas reflitirem sobre o nosso planeta, e se estamos cuidando e nos preocupando com o meio ambiente e com o nosso planeta, se não estamos, deveríamos estar, as mudanças climáticas e o aumento de temperatura, estão aí, para nos exigir uma posição e atitudes conscientes com relação a isso, devemos não só nos preocuparmos com o nosso planeta, mas também devemos zelar por ele e ter consideração e cuidado com o meio ambiente.
Eu plantei mais uma árvore com os meus filhos… foi muito gostoso. Imagina se todo mundo fizesse o mesmo, seriam 7 bilhões de novas árvores para amenizar tanta devastação…
As vezes eu me acho uma tola sempre comentando aqui, mas me entriga como um post sobre esmalte em um blog qualquer consegue ter uns 30 comentários de gente que prefere roxo beringela ao lilás e um texto importante como esse nada… cadê todo mundo? keep up with the good work bj ju
I honestly think we are not living just a Climatic Change, but a Mind Change too. And changing mind IS GOOD, because what we see, what we know about the rest we are discovering is NOT GOOD at all.
So, the CHANGE OF MIND is POSITIVE.
If there had not been persons in the past who thought there were thinng at their times that were not good, not right, probably we were not not using Internet or joining different countries peoples like we are now.
We must give thanks a lot to those persons who CHANGED History books with brilliant minds.
We humans should learn to open our eyes and minds a little more to discover there is a lot of things we have to do as specie to improve ourselves and all that surround us.
Nice Earth Day to improve human mind status.
